History & Philosophy of CDS
CDS was established in 1978 by Chris Bornes. Chris nurtured, taught and inspired students to become artists in dance and theater for 36 years. Chris retired in 2013, in which Samantha Sandefur stepped into the role of Owner/Director.
The CDS program consists of 2 Semesters each season in which the Dance Program, Theater Program and Vocal Program are taught from a focused curriculum. Students are tested and evaluated at the end of each semester, in for which reason we do not accept students after the beginning of the season in September.
CDS teaches, trains, encourages and provides opportunities for all styles of dance, acting and vocal. We are dedicated to the total artist. Gain confidence, poise and lasting friendships by studying with nurturing, professional instructors in a non-competitive environment.
