Tuition & Fees Policies

An annual $15.00 registration fee per returning students ($30.00 family) is automatically charged to all 2018-2019 registrations. An annual $25.00 registration fee per new students ($50.00 families). We go in and manually change the price if you are a returning client once we receive the registration. There is no registration fee for summer camps. This fee is only charged once in a calendar year. This fee is non-refundable. CDS reserves the right to place all students according to age, ability level, and dance/tumbling experience.

The dance season will consist of 9 months of classes with an avg. of (35-36) thirty-six weekly class sessions from September 4th, 2018 - May 31st 2019.

Tuition rates are posted on our website Pricing page. Please refer to this page for each class' tuition. Monthly tuition is based on the average of 4 classes per month and is the same price for 9 months. We go into each account and manually fix the tuition when there are add-ons once we receive the registration.

Some months have as few as (3) three weeks others have as many as (5) five.

Our calendar is based on the Billings School District #2 system, others may vary. We will follow the school calendar for Labor Day, Thanksgiving Break, Christmas Break & Spring Break.

Payments are due on the (1st) first of each month. If tuition is not paid by the 10th of each month, a late fee of $10.00 will be applied to the account. Habitually late accounts will be assessed a $20.00 late fee.

We gladly accept the following methods of payment: Check * Visa * MasterCard * AmEx * Discover * Cash

We do offer Auto-payment billing, and if you sign up for Auto-Pay we deduct $5.00 off monthly Tuition fee. Auto-Pay is only done by Credit Card or Debit Card, no bank account withdrawal.

Returned check fee/ NSF AutoPay fee is $25.00.

You WILL NOT be receiving a statement from our office for your monthly tuition. You may check your account online at any time by logging into our parent portal.

Any account unpaid after the (10th) tenth of the month, even those who auto-drafts come back declined, will have late charges assessed for $10.00 of the total monthly tuition. Habitually late accounts will be assessed a $20.00 late fee.

If at any time you would like a printed statement of your account you may request one or login to the portal to view & print.

Overdue Balances Only: A statement will be mailed and/or emailed for amount due with late charges assessed.

Any student with an overdue balance of more than 60 days will not be allowed into class until payment in full is received or payment arrangements have been made.

We hate to see you go but we realize that everyone will eventually grow up and/or move on. As a courtesy to our studio, the Instructors and those students on a wait list we require parents to give a notice either by email, or calling Helen at the front office before the 1st of the month if their child is going to discontinue classes at CDS. This is so we can invite the next child on the waiting list to join the class the following month. Please Note: If theĀ  notice is not given, you will be billed for the additional tuition that your child is enrolled in the class/classes. AGAIN, You must cancel/withdraw BEFORE the 1st of the month or you are responsible to PAY for that month and any other month that passes until we receive a notice.

Refunds/Credits Policies

CDS reserves the right to cancel any camp or class with insufficient registration and a full refund will be given.

If a very young student is not ready to participate in a class after several visits, a refund of tuition only (not used) will be given. Camp fees are NON-REFUNDABLE but are transferable until September 30th, 2018.

When student sustains an injury that does not permit them to participate over an extended period of time a credit or refund will be issued for that point forward. However, if the student attends classes on a weekly basis-dancing or not- the tuition amount will still be charged.

Camp Fees and Registration Fees are non-refundable!

Credits will not be given for missed classes due to illness, snow days, or personal commitments. If your dancer misses classes 2 or more in one month due to illness or other personal reason, they will be encouraged to take a private lesson from that class instructor to get caught up and will be charged the set Private Lesson fee.

Release of Liability Policies

As the legal parent or guardian, I release and hold harmless CDS Performing Arts, its owners and operators from any and all liability, claims, demands, and causes of action whatsoever, arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury, including death, that may be sustained by the participant and/or the undersigned, while in or upon the premises or in route to or from any of said premises. I understand that appropriate physical contact is required during the instruction of dance & tumbling and I give permission for instructors to make appropriate physical contact with me or my child for such instruction.

Performance & Year End Dance Concert Policies

We produce a year end Dance Concert at the end of the season with all dancers participating. This is an exciting end to the dance season! Our Year End Show is June 1, 2019. This is an exciting and rewarding part of the season that everyone looks forward to and we encourage all dancers to participate.

Dance Costumes: costume fees range from $50.00-$90.00 per costume (you will receive the exact amount in September). All students will receive a Costume Sheet with list and pictures of costumes and instructions on how to go online to Nimbly and order your student's costumes. We strongly suggest you order them September-January, as past January shipping rates increase and time in receiving them prolongs.

Rehearsals: CDS will choose certain classes to perform at extra performances that include, but are not limited to: Festival Of Trees, Holiday Food & Craft Show, January Mid-Year Show. Students performing in these performances are required to attend the said rehearsal for that performance. If a student misses the rehearsal, they will not be allowed to perform in that said performance. Dancers must attend ALL REHEARSALS for the year end dance concert. Missing ONE rehearsal will result in dancer not being allowed to dance in the show. Schedule is put out at beginning of Fall Season, please plan accordingly.
